Infonetics Research recently released its latest forecast for the cloud PBX and unified communications market, affirming that hosted services are moving on a steady upward track.

According to principal analyst Diane Myers, the number of seats for hosted services grew 20 percent in 2013, replacing the number of on-premise investments on a massive scale.

The researchers also estimated that the cloud-based PBX and UC markets will expand to $12 billion in annual revenues by 2018, representing 62.6 million seats around the globe.
