JOB DESCRIPTION & MAIN BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

 

ServiceNow Security and Risk Solutions Architect is responsible for the delivery of the technical deliverables in assigned engagements or projects. The Solutions Architect works as a team member within the Security Operations and Managed Services teams to develop projects and integrations reporting to the Director of CyberSecurity.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Serve as a visionary, thought-leader, and platform Educate, guide, inspire and influence internal and prospective customers on what is possible in ServiceNow.
  • Partner with the security project management organization in the qualification of customer needs through discovery.
  • Help clients get excited about how a FlexSecurITy transformation can impact their business.
  • Create partnerships with clients and build relationships.
  • Advise on business process and service management best practices.
  • Participate across the lifecycle on acquiring strategic customers.
  • Demonstrate the product, both standard and tailored, to prospects and existing customers.
  • Scope and develop proposals, RFI, RFQ, RFP.
  • Represent FlexITy at ServiceNow industry events like user conferences, trade shows, analyst updates, webinars, and marketing events.
  • Forge strong relationships within the ServiceNow organization and community to collaboratively serve the needs of current or potential clients.
  • Pull out innovations post-project for IP development.
  • Help build out internal and managed customer best practices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in information security or computer science or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Work experience or strong understanding of Security Operations Center (SOC), Network Operations Center (NOC) or Computer Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC).
  • Strong working knowledge of risk processes and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Networking and Security technologies: SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, breach detection, and threat intelligence.
  • Knowledge of various attack vectors and intrusion methodologies: DDoS, malware, phishing, brute force, APT, buffer overflow, etc.
  • Experience in security frameworks such as NIST 800-61, ISO27035, SANS, etc.
  • Experience with threat intelligence frameworks, such as STIX/TAXII and OpenIOC.
  • Ability to architect and effectively communicate solutions to business challenges.
  • Experience working in a large government or corporate enterprise environment.
  • Responsible for understanding business and technical problems addressed by the products including applicable regulations, business drivers, security, and evolving business needs, etc.
  • The following industry certifications are desirable: CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GSEC, CEH, GIAC.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills and be self-directed and independent.
  • Exhibits prior or current technical expertise in enterprise SaaS based web technologies and the ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • Exhibits a degree of technical expertise and understanding including JavaScript.
  • Able to articulate and logically communicate concepts with both technical and non- technical audiences.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to include technical and business concepts.
  • Ability to understand the “bigger picture” and the business drivers around IT.
  • Ability to pass criminal background and/or government security clearance as an ongoing condition of employment.

 

Nice to Have:

 

  • Understanding of and experience selling to enterprise architecture.
  • ITIL4 or ITILv3 foundation certification.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
  • Advanced ServiceNow Certifications including Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
