Business Analyst


The focus of this job position is on process transformations in healthcare with innovative health technology and healthcare IT solutions that improve workflows, access to care and quality of service. The Business Analyst will be responsible for the elicitation, analysis and documentation of business and technical needs across multiple functional areas. To be successful in this role, you must have exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to communicate technical and business requirements alike. This role will report to the Director of Technology and will play key role in system transformations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead cross functional groups though system and process transformation
  • Overall responsibility for process and standards through the organization.
  • Creation and ownership of documentation for policies, procedures
  • Translate business requirements into technical processes
  • Evaluation of current processes to look for opportunities for improvement
  • Education, knowledge transfer and training on new process
  • Support the implementation of a new ERP system
  • Assist with user acceptance testing
  • Report writing and presentations
  • Develop and track key KPIs across key functional areas like finance, professional services, managed services etc.
Essential Requirements

Education / Experience

  • 3 + years of relevant work experience in a business or systems analysis role with proven working experience in process improvement and opportunity identification
  • Proficiency in ability to document processes and elicit functional, business, and technical requirements along with in-depth experience for analyzing and solving business problems by implementing IT solutions
  • Solid experience in managing business and system requirements
  • Proven working success in collaboration with business leaders
  • Strong experience with business analysis driven road mapping and forecasting
  • Working knowledge and ability with process and data visualization as well as report writing
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills along with ability to effectively present ideas and concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with waterfall and agile project management
  • Experience with major system implementation (ie CRM, ERP etc..)
  • Experience with Enterprise architecture and data modeling would be an asset

Professional / Cognitive Skills

  • Must be extremely collaborative
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proven desire (and ability) to learn on the fly
  • Ability to adapt

Other Technologies / Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project SharePoint, MS Teams, Power BI
  • Knowledge of ERP systems like MS Dynamics, NetSuite or similar.
  • Specific knowledge of the Q360 ERP system would definitely be an asset
  • Knowledge of ITIL, SOC II, PIPEDA, IT & Financial GCs and other risk and compliance standards
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and respective controls and policies
  • Familiarity with GetWell, NurseCall, Vital ER or other health care related technologies
